Most people can’t say that they found their soulmate in high school, after 15 years Kayla and David were finally able to say to forever with each other.
Saturday morning started off with clouds and a chilly air with some rain. My heart sank a little as I knew that they had dreamed of having their ceremony outside surrounded by all of their family and friends. The forecast wasn’t looking in our favor as I obsessively kept checking it in the morning. As much as we wanted the day to be perfect, it wasn’t about the weather, it was about Kayla and David being able to celebrate their love and the start of their new legacy they are creating together. At the end of the day getting to marry their best friend was all that really mattered.
David surprised Kayla with writing her a letter that she read just moments before their first look. As Kayla read through the letter tears strolled down her cheek. David was waiting to see his bride, and as she walked up behind him and gently tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around with pure joy on his face. David has known since 2006 that Kayla was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and as he looked at his beautiful bride it all hit him that everything that he had ever dreamed of was coming true.
Kayla & David,
Gahh you’re married!!! It was such an amazing day and it truly was an honor to be able to witness and capture your love on your wedding day. I’m so thankful the weather held out for you and it turned out to be the most perfect day. I can’t wait to see how you and your little family continues to grow and go through new adventures together! I am so blessed to call you guys my friends. Let’s hang out soon!! xoxo
With Love,
Alexis
