There was a brisk chill in the air as we arrived to Washington Oaks State Park. Karyn and Jake stepped out of their car with the biggest smiles on their face. Even though it was windy and cooler than it has been in months, the sun was shining and they were so excited. Being that they are also dog parents of four it didn’t take us long till we began chatting about our furkids.

Partly through the session Karyn started talking about how it was so weird to finally be taking their engagement photos. She had been watching other AK Couples doing their engagement sessions now for quite some time that she was just so excited that it was finally their turn and how it just felt surreal.

I will always be completely honored and humbled how amazing and kind hearted my couples are. The love Karyn and Jake share for each other is something that keeps them grounded but is also what makes each new day exciting.

I am officially counting down the days till you two get to say “I Do” on the water in NY. I love that we share our obsession for our furkids! Enjoy being each others fiancé because being engaged is the shortest chapter of your love story. I know the planning process can be stressful but do it together and lean on each other when needed.
