I have been anticipating Kayla & David’s engagement session for the last couple weeks. I knew that they really had their hearts set on doing their session in a sunflower field. With the covid restrictions I really didn’t know if that was going to be an option for us because the crop only lasts so long before the flowers start to wilt. I remember feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders when I saw that restrictions were being lifted because I knew that we could make this happen after all!
I think that we forget sometimes that we always don’t have to get relationships right the first time. Sometimes it takes people to be apart to grow and realize what we want out of your relationship. See for Kayla and David this was the case. They dated back in highschool but ended up going their different ways. Kayla moved to Florida and ended up dating another guy for a little while. After things ended up not working, David caught word of their break up and knew that this was his opportunity to win Kayla back. It wasn’t long after that David moved down here to the sunshine state to be with her.
Listening to them tell me about their love story, I could see how much the two of them just loved each other. They were constantly smiling from ear to ear and the way that David looks at Kayla is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. They radiant joy and happiness. Their relationship might not have been successful at first but now in this new chapter of their life it is everything that they want it to be.
Kayla & David,
I am so excited that we made your sunflower dreams come true! I had so much fun spending the evening with you and your little family. The two of you are so down to earth, and I love seeing how much you make each other laugh. I can’t wait to celebrate your big day with you next year!! Enjoy these last months of being a fiance, because it is going to fly by! Talk to you soon!! xoxo
With Love,
Alexis
